We aim to give all of our patients a high standard of continuing care. The ethos of the practice is to provide care in a relaxed, comfortable and ethical manner. As well as providing you with the treatment you need, the emphasis is placed on preventative care, to keep you mouth, teeth and smile healthy. As part of a routine examination, we will check not just your teeth, but also the soft tissues of the mouth, the health of your gums and the condition of the jaw joints. This ensure that any potential problems are picked up early. In addition to this, we will also take x rays, and use other tests, to check the health of your mouth, if necessary. If you do require any treatment, you can rest assured that we only use the top quality dental materials; any treatments that require laboratory work will be sent to only the best laboratories. We can place fillings in white composite or glass ionomer or silver amalgam. Each has it\u2019s own benefits, dependent on the situation it is used. We will assess the tooth that needs to be restored, and suggest the most suitable material for the tooth.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

There are certain situations where heavily broken down teeth cannot be restored with a conventional filling. In these cases a laboratory made inlay or onlay (made from either gold alloy or porcelain) can be used to restore the tooth without the need to place a crown on the tooth.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

A crown is a \u201ccap\u201d that sits on top the remaining tooth structure to restore and protect the remaining tooth structure. They are usually indicated for heavily restored, broken down or root treated teeth. Crowns can either be made from gold alloy, porcelain bonded to metal or all porcelain.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

A bridge is one of the ways that missing teeth can be replaced. They can be made using a variety of materials and designs. When you come in for a consultation, we will be more than happy to discuss the options available to replace missing teeth.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Removable dentures can be used to remove some or all teeth. Dentures can be made using either all acrylic or with a metal framework. Metal framework dentures tend to be thinner and therefore more comfortable. Again, if you would like to have missing teeth replaced, please do not hesitate to contact us.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Unfortunately, the nerves inside teeth can sometimes die off. This can be as a result of dental decay, trauma or fractures. If this happens the tooth can be saved with a root canal treatment, where the root of the tooth is filled with a gutta percha filling.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
